Early Attitudes Toward Women

In the text the author talks about the hostorically value of women according to men. Women have always been viewed as intellectually inferiors and a kind of evil source temptation, and even it had been considered that the only life rol of women is conception and nothing more.
At first instance women in East wasn´t prived of individual property and  freedom by getting married, but as some cultures envolved, like Hinduism, this changed requiring obedience of women toward men and privated of own properties or individual right of expression.
But when women were allowed personal and intellectual freedom, women made significant achievements playing important roles in religious and political life that have influaciated the eras of men since there; having for example Queen Elizabeth of England, Catherine the Great of Russia, and Queen Victoria of England in the 19th century.

I think that all that the author said is true, women have always been viewed as "something" insignificant  and something not to care about in religion, culture and aristocratic.
In my opinion the 3 women that the author refers are very good examples of all the incredible things that women can do when men are not around.
