The Weaker Sex?

The author says that women have always been considerer the weaker sex and because of that, historically they have been given with what men consider no strength jobs, when actually there are not; and that resulted as a high tolerance for pain, more resistance to diseases and longer lives.
The text mentioned the social rol of women according with the biological function of giving birth and getting married in past eras, removing the oportunity of look for another roles; even when women had the oportunity to have a profetional life, family and society pressures made them decline different expectations.
But this barrier have been broken over time with facilities making women be part of society by other roles.

I think that the author is right saying that society and family historically had been kept away from many oportunities of personal and profesional growing; but nowadays we think out of the box being capables of take our destiny in our hands and make whatever we want to do and not what we supposed to do because the society say so.
